It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Draughon (Dudley, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Draughon and Mollie Cotton Draughon; his siblings, Brewer, Elizabeth, Ruth, Oscar, Vernetta and Geraldine; his daughter Kelley Hirsch (Thomas Hirsch); and his grandsons, Kenneth Bauer and Sean Thomas Hirsch.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Bernadette Draughon; and his children, Willie Shelton Draughon Jr. (Beverly), Aletha Darlene Bradley (Robert), Heather Lynn Hacker (Alfred), Deborah Griffin (Kerry) and Robert Dugan Jr. (Cat). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
