Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Betsy Ross Eason (Dunn, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 86, on December 6, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Jeffreys and Mayme Jeffreys; and her siblings, Carolyn Jeffreys, Anne Faircloth (Hartwell), Charles Jeffreys and Louis Jeffreys, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Fermanides (Robert) and Julianne Chance (Greg); her grandchildren, Ashley Fermanides, Robbie Fermanides (Ashleigh), Erica Roy (Matt), Matthew Melvin (Luisa) and Nicholas Fermanides (Casey); and her great grandchildren, Leah, Jonah, Hudson, Clayton, Weston, Aubrey, Annabeth, Grayson and Madelyn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Erwin Church of God (109 W C St, Erwin, NC 28339). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

I knew Betsy for forty years and she was always kind to me. Betsy never wanted to be the center of attention but instead supported with her presence. At Erica's wedding my husband convinced Betsy to join him in a dance; she was a good dancer and we loved seeing her have fun! I will miss her.”
