He was predeceased by: his parents, Eula Mae and Luther Marion Thompson; his wife Patricia "Ann" Edwards Thompson; his siblings, Ronnie Thompson and Minnie Mae Minton; and his stepdaughter Judy Strickland.
He is survived by: his son Bobby Gene Thompson of Benson; his stepdaughters, Linda Gail Burgett of Stedmon and Laura Edwards Wehner of Newton Grove; his sister Mary Bass of Clinton; his sister-in-law Marilyn Thompson of Newton Grove; and his cousin Wayne. He is also survived by 4 Grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.
