He was predeceased by: his parents, Shepherd Lassiter and Annie Lassiter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Keen Lassiter; his brother Phil Lassiter (Linda) of Four Oaks; his nephew David Massengill (Gail) of Four Oaks; his grandchildren, Caroline Lassiter, Elizabeth Campbell, Hayes Mabry (Haley), James Mabry (Jill), Mary Grace Kennedy (Ethan) and Keen Lassiter, Jr. (Edward); and his pet Rusty.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Dunn by Dr (309 W Broad St, Dunn, NC 28334).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dunn, NC. 309 West Broad Street, Dunn, NC 28334.
