She was predeceased by: her parents, William S. Godwin and Velma C. Godwin; her sons, Ricky Earl Smith and Elmer Carlyle Smith; and her siblings, Jerry, Jimmy, Tootsie, Bill Godwin, Shelby Porter and Carolyn Jernigan.
She is survived by: her son Dennis Smith (Windy) of Four Oaks; her siblings, George Godwin (Cindy) of Dunn, Donald Godwin (Regina) of Mt. Olive, Teresa Baker (Dolan) of Princeton, Margie Godwin of Dunn and Lorraine Johnson (Bobby) of Dunn; her grandchildren, Michaela Eichenberg (Keith) and Cody Mitchell; and her great grandchild Freya Maxine Eichenberg. She is also survived by her sons, especially her granddaughter.
