He was predeceased by: his parents, Theophelus Carlton and Estelle Lucas Bayles; and his brother-in-law Jack Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Faye Parker Bayles; his daughter Dayna Bayles Murphy (Steve) of Raleigh; his granddaughter Karli Ryann Murphy of Raleigh; his sister Shirley Bayles Matthews of Sanford; and his pet Dolly.
