He was predeceased by: his parent Chellie Alice Strickland; his wife Joyce Strickland; and his children, Danny Strickland and Geraldine McGary. He is survived by: his pet Lady; his children, James Strickland, Angela Faubus (Gary) and Leslie Williford (Vernon); and his siblings, Gloria Evans, Greta Ward, Wallace Strickland and Dwight Strickland.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Rose and Graham Funeral Home (301 W Main St, Benson, NC 27504). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
