He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard and Alma Ruffin Wellons; and his brother John "Johnny" H. Wellons, Jr. (Debbie) of Fayetteville. He is survived by: his wife Su Lou O. Wellons; his daughters, Leigh Anna Thompson (Seth) of Linden and Lauren Wellons White of Buies Creek; his grandchildren, Hunter, Morgan, Taylor Thompson, Mason and Maddox White; his siblings, Sylvia Craft (late Jim) of Farmville and Don Wellons (late Rebecca) of Erwin; and his sister-in-law Gloria Barbour (Ronald) of Benson.
