He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill and Jane; and his brothers, Bobby, Elton and Kenny.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Overholt Jones; his daughters, Rochelle Friend (David), Rita Hall (Ira) and Joy Evans (Tom); his grandchildren, Kerry (Yamile), Mary Kate, Kaylee, Avery, Anna, William Hall, Madelyn Yoshino (Jude), Denver, Jason Friend, Lowell, J. W. (Bethany) and Josie Evans; and his brother David Jones (Carolyn). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM at the Central Baptist Church (6050 Plain View Hwy, Dunn, NC 28334). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
