He was predeceased by : his parents, William Slocum and Marjorie Hinson Tart; and his sister Mary Lou Tart McLamb. He is survived by : his children, Cristal Tart, Will Tart of Dunn and Christopher Tart of Dunn; his siblings, Harvey Tart (Frankie) of Clinton, Jo Johnson of Dunn, Debbie Dunn (Glenwood) of Dunn and Cindy Gurgainous (Ray) of Newton Grove; and his grandson Braxton Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.
