Alta Rudomin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Rudomin (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Alta may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alta touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Koplowitz and Frances Hesselson Kaplan. She is survived by: her husband Murray Atkins Rudomin; her children, Jane Rosen (Philip) and Michael Rudomin (Christine); and her grandchildren, Emily Nevin (John), Hilary Henninger (Kate), Nicholas Rudomin (Nellie) and Jeremiah Rosen (Lauren). She is also survived by 6 great grandsons.
