Alton Bishop Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on November 6, 2022, at the age of 101, Alton Bishop (Durham, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Winder Bishop and Nellie Mozelle Strayhorn Bishop; and his wife Gladys "Faye" Jones Bishop. He is survived by: his stepmother Octavia Huffines Bishop; his daughters, Donna Christian (Buddy) and Susan Boyd (Harold); his grandchildren, Mark Christian (Shanna), Madison Boyd (Susi) and Emily Turner (Michael); his great grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha, Carson and Finn; and his sister-in-law Peggy Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
