She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Mitchell, Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Martha Mitchell; her husband William Garrett, Jr.; her children, Brandon Garrett (Olivia), April Goss (Chris) and Crystal Emmons (Bryant); her brothers, Joe Mitchell (Michelle) and Thomas Mitchell (Pam); and her grandchildren, Bryce Emmons, Hailey Emmons and Cameron Goss. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hudson Funeral Home (211 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703). A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
