With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arch Darden Bynum Sr. of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert William Bynum, Jr. and Helen Tyson Bynum Gaston of Stantonsburg; and his siblings, Anne Bynum Marshall and Robert William Bynum III. He is survived by: his wife Doris Dixon Bynum; his sons, Arch Darden Bynum, Jr. (Carol Daughtry Bynum) of Goldsboro and Richard Allen Bynum (Veda Jacobs Bynum) of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Bynum, Arch Darden Bynum III, Helen-Anne Daughtry Bynum, Ashley Sloane Assa, Paige Merideth Assa, Katherine Elizabeth Bynum and Hope Marie Bynum. He is also survived by friends and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Arch's memory to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
