With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara Appel of Durham, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Parrish and Rosa Parrish; her husband Kenneth Appel, Sr.; her siblings, Luther "LT" Parrish, Rosa Price, Peggy Tiller, Sandra Shelton, Sheila Willliams and Jackie Horton; her grandsons, David Lee Appel and Mark Burton Harris; and her great great grandchild Noah Hall.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Appel, Jr. of Durham, Jerry W. Appel of Durham, Vivian Harris (David Harris) of Durham and Elizabeth "Liz" Tackett (Charles) of Clinton, NC; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Sherri, Kenni, Todd, Stephen, Michele, Jennifer, Miranda and J. W.. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
