She is survived by: her daughter Dana Alston of Durham, NC; her grandson Jaden Alston of Durham, NC; her brother Robert L. Alston Jr. of Newark, NJ; and her aunt Theresa Perdue of Portsmouth, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
