He gave me an opportunity to move from Atlanta to Durham for a leadership role in Underwriting at North Carolina Mutual in the late 1980s. And encouraged and supported me to earn my MBA at Wake Forest University. He then took time out of his busy schedule to travel and attend my graduation. This is the type of thing Bert did for a lot of people. I have always admired he and his wife Carolyn. Milton Taylor”
