It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Mae McGhee (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George William Burns Sr. and Willie Mae Bailey Burns. She is survived by: her children, Tami Jeffreys (Tony Jeffreys) and Rodney McGhee; her grandchildren, Trevor McGhee (Leigh Ann McGhee) and Dakota Tilley; her great grandchildren, Avery McGhee and Blakely McGhee; her siblings, George William Burns Jr., Milton Lee Burns and Alice Burns Taylor; her nephew Brandon Tzortzis (Rachel Tzortzis); her great-niece Scarlett; and her great-nephew Nicholas.
