We are sad to announce that, on July 7, 2023, at the age of 83, Carolyn J. Capps Stone of Durham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carlie Capps and Neva F. Sanford Capps; her brothers, Lewis F. Capps, Bobby R. Capps and Thomas E. Capps; and her daughter-in-law Wanda K. Stone.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Edward Stone, Joy Lorraine Wright (Ted) and Gayle Stone Jernigan (Pete); and her grandchildren, Jessica Stone Strickland (Kendall), AbbyGayle J. Jernigan, Sara D. Jernigan and Elizabeth S. Jernigan.
