She was predeceased by : her parents, James Oakley and Lucettie Ruth Oakley. She is survived by : her son Michael Frick; her grandchildren, Rachel Phelps, Benjamin Frick and Matthew Frick; and her great grandchild Margaret Phelps.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hudson Funeral Home Chapel (211 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703). Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Hudson Funeral Home and Cremation Services (211 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703).
