It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claudia Ann Whitman Cannon of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Whitman and Delcie Whitman; her children, Glenn Norris and Jo Sherman; and her grandson Pat May.
She is survived by: her brother Bill Whitman; her daughters, Pam Norris, Patsy Norris (Jimmy Duke) and Polly Babb (Barry Babb); her children-in-law, Linda Norris and Mike Sherman; her brother-in-law Zach Byrd (Zellie); her grandchildren, Brian, Jennifer, Caroline, Jason, Natalie and DeeDee; and her close friend Corinne Holmes. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.
