She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom (Mary Lucy Caldwell) and Darlene; her son Chuck; her brother Chuck Caldwell; and her grandson Zachary.
She is survived by: her husband Barry Marlow; her son David Coates; her brother Tom Caldwell Jr.; her grandsons, Seth and Taylor Coates; her daughter-in-law Cynthia Chandler Coates; her granddaughter-in-law Kelsi Coates; and her great grandchildren, Addie, Kinsley and Zoey.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church (1320 Umstead Rd, Durham, NC 27712). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
