He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Susie" Beard Moffat of Chapel Hill, NC; his daughter Meghan Laurel Beckmann (Owen Beckmann) of Asheville, NC.; his siblings, Monica Moffat of Tryon, NC, Mitchell Moffat, Melanie L. Moffat (John Powers) and Owens; and his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Wilson (John Wilson), Judith Beard of Fayetteville, NC and Cynthia Beard of Fayetteville, NC.
