Deann Maness Stone Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Deann Maness Stone (Durham, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 11, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin Maness and Jeanette Maness; her husband Sylvester Stone Jr.; and her former husband Asher Anthony (Father). She is survived by: her son Joey Anthony (Kristen); her stepsons, Mark Chappell and Robbie Chappell; her sisters, Maria Maness Bell (Ramon) and Jane Maness Kerr; her siblings' children, Natalie B. Rempe (Scott) and Mitchell Bell (Angela); her great-nieces, Ashten Rempe, Addison Bell and Ashleigh Bell; and her great-nephew Kyle Rempe.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Liberty Baptist Church (3864 Guess Rd, Durham, NC 27705). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NC Bowhunter Assoc - (JR Stone Memorial Garden) 7796 NC Hwy 68 NC, Stokesdale, NC 27357.
