We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2025, at the age of 87, DeWitt Rice Jr. of Durham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Brock Rice. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Taylor (Chris) and Jeff Rice (Jo); his grandchildren, Chelsea Weeks (BJ), Chad Taylor (Elisabeth) and Todd Rice (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Shelby Weeks, Shaylee Weeks, Charli Taylor, Cohen Taylor and Oliver Rice. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in DeWitt's name to Plainview Baptist Church, 5200 Cheek Rd., Durham, NC 27704.
