He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Dow Scoggins and Ruby Alice Scoggins. He is survived by: his wife Clara Scoggins; his son Joedi Scoggins (Megane Scoggins); his grandson Noah; and his daughters, Paola, Yurany and Jeimy.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
