With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Edward Tilley of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on August 12, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Oakie Tilley and Osie Belle Hill Tilley; his son Stan Tilley; and his grandson Caleb Stocking. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Duncan Tilley; his daughters, Wendy Tilley Stocking (Greg) of Stem, Paula Floyd (Frank) of Durham and Dawn Tilley of Creedmoor; his brother Ronald Tilley of Rougemont; his grandchildren, Amos Tilley (Jenna), Dillon Floyd, Savannah Williams (Michael), Dale Floyd and Joshua Stocking; and his great grandchildren, Emma Williams, Colton Tilley, Jaxton Williams and Geneva Williams.

Memorials may be made to Gorman Baptist Church, Parkinson Foundation, Duke Hospice or the Esophageal Cancer Research.
