She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Lee Horne and Annie Pearl Cook Horne; her siblings, Patricia Smith Horne and Elmer Lee Horne Jr.; her cousin Sandra Horne Griffin; and her nephew Tom Belcher.
She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine Pruitt Blanton (Trae) of Fuquay-Varina and Jennifer Pruitt Knight of Park City, Utah; her grandchildren, Anna Blanton, Alex Blanton, Pruitt Knight and Harper Knight; her brother Hadie Horne; and her nieces and nephews, Michele, Karyn, Clark, Courtney, Paige and Frank. She is also survived by her extended family; her church family; and many lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Triangle Church (2103 Page Rd, Durham, NC 27703). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Maplewood Cemetery (400 College St NE, Wilson, NC 27893).
