He was predeceased by: his father Julius Edgar; and his significant other Deborah Farmer Brown. He is survived by: his children, Dwight Gerald Hill II, Kimberly H. Paul (William), Jessica H. Reaves (Bradley) and Brittany D. Hill; his brother Henry J. Hill (Susan); his grandchildren, Jordan Paul, Nicholas Paul, Ava Paul, Alexis Capps, Layla Grace Hill, Malaya McGhee, Julius Reaves, Montanna McGhee and Gracelyn Hill; and his great grandchild Waylon Lee Everette. He is also survived by his family greatly and was an amazing father and grandfather.
