She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jackson Cooper and Pearl Martin Cooper; her former husband Robert Belford Adkins Jr.; Broadus Eugene Heatherly, Robert Belford Adkins III and Terry Eugene Heatherly.
She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Adkins Sinclaire of Durham, NC and Cheryl Heatherly Billings (James) of Blacksburg, SC; her daughter-in-law Glenda Adkins of Zionville, NC; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Adkins Hupp, Joseph "Mikey" Adkins (Danyelle), Michael Billings (Katie), Eric Billings, Joseph Heatherly (Caroline), Cole Heatherly (Anna), Alex Heatherly and Morgan Heatherly. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and myriad nieces, nephews, and cousins.
