We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2025, at the age of 89, Edith Mae Ottaway of Durham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Addison Moore and Lina Moore Rooks; her siblings, James Moore, Lewis Moore, Frank Moore (Pauline), Lilan Barnhill, Betty McPhail and Geraldine McMahn; and her close friend Ronnie Pearson.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Ottaway (Becky), Clarence Ottaway, Barry Ottaway (Nancy) and Bryan Ottaway; her grandchildren, Nicole Tuck (Dennis), Chuck Ottaway (Melissa), Hope Maynard (JD) and Chasity Schmoyer (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Jonathan Tuck (Quinlynne), Abby Ottaway, Willow Ottaway, Alyssa Wilder, Levi Maynard, DJ Schmoyer, Violet Schmoyer, Austin Watson and Christian Watson; and her stepgrandchildren, Allison Gill, Joshua Gill (Micheal), Brandon Gill, Emily Gill, Raven Gill and Macy Hendley.
