Gooch, Jr. and Marie Cates Gooch of Durham; his wife Estelle Lorbacher Gooch; his siblings, Debra Barnes of Durham and David Gooch of Bonaire, Georgia; his brothers-in-law, Douglas Lorbacher of Durham and Pressley Lorbacher of Durham; his nieces and nephews, Katey Barnes (Levi Stecker) of Mebane, Ashley Lorbacher of Durham, David Barnes of Mebane and Jack Lorbacher of Durham; his great-niece Lucy Stecker; and his great-nephew Brady Stecker.
