He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Hunt Sr. and Ara Parker Hunt; his sisters, Blanche Hunt and Barbara Glover; and his brother-in-law Thomas Cogwell.
He is survived by: his sons, Eric Dwayne (Lisa) of Raleigh and Michael Anthony (Cynthia) of Creedmoor; his granddaughters, Erica, Courtney, Lindsey and Cailyn Hunt; his brother Alex Hunt (Patricia) of Oxford; his brothers-in-law, John Cogwell (Diane) of Oxford and Amos Glover of Durham; his aunt Josephine Hunt of Oxford; and his nieces and nephews, Kesia, Charmagne Hunt, Amora, Kizzy Glover, Darrell (Victoria), Greg (Crystal) and Rodney Hunt. He is also survived by Three great-nieces/nephews and one great-great-nephew.
