She was predeceased by: her father Herbert Sterling Ryder; her husband Dr. John S. Dilday; her mother Ruth Ryder; and her son John S. Dilday, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Helen Crane (John) and Paul Groenier (Sally); her grandsons, Jonathan Crane (Jennifer), Daniel Crane (Emily), Seth Anthony (Eve) and James Groenier; her great grandchildren, Avery Crane, Bennett Crane, Katie Crane, Ian Klopf and Zoe Klopf; her sister Helen Frances Ryder; and her sister-in-law Allie Mitchell Dilday. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Maplewood Cemetery (1621 Duke University Rd, Durham, NC 27701).
