She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Campbell and William F. Campbell; and her siblings, Selma Campbell Johnson, Alma Grace Campbell, Eunice Campbell Shaw and Renice Franklin Campbell.

She is survived by: her husband Glenn Helms; her sons, Michael Glenn Helms (Kelly) of Goldsboro and Bradley Heath Helms of Goldsboro; her siblings-in-law, David Shaw and Linda Millar (George); her nieces, Donna Shaw Pleasant (Mike) and Karen Gordon (Keith); her nephew Lyn Shaw (Jayme); and her caregivers, Ruth Russell, Lisa Delguercio, Eric Lane, Matilda Thompson, Megan Rose, Joanne Wilson, Michelle Mills, Treva Allen and Beth Spainhour. She is also survived by her family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to the Shepherd's Fund at St. Paul Methodist Church, 204 E. Chestnut Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
