It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Mozella Thompson (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed James Jones and Lourinda Evans Jones; and her siblings, Napoleon Bonaparte Jones, Parthenia Ella Jones Harrington, Cecil Jones, Frances Jones Ballard, Edward James Jones, Paschal Bert Jones, Jennie Hortense Jones Johnson, William Mac Jones (Bill) and Sadie Omiller Jones Wiley.
She is survived by: her sister Peggy Elizabeth Burnett of Pittsboro, N. C.; her children, Dannie Louis Thompson, Sherdenia T. Dunn, Charles A. Thompson and Linda Diane Carver; and her brother-in-law Wenzo Thompson of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
