With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Forest McClure Gale Jr. of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest M. Gale, Sr. and Blanch Morrow Gale; his stepmother Ann Wells Gale; his brother John Bruce Gale; and his nephew Grant.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his son Lewis; his daughter-in-law Ashley; his grandchildren, Presson McClure and Libby; his brother Tommy; his sister-in-law Judy; his stepsiblings, Tom Wells and Hilda Howerton; his nephews, Charles and Brooks; and his niece Emily.
Donations may be made to either of Forest's favorite charities which were St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Animal Protection Society of Durham.
