It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick Trott Doane of Durham, North Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Harden Doane and Kathryn Trott Doane; and his brother James W. Doane. He is survived by: his wife Heike; his children, Marcus F. Doane and Katrin Doane Goldfarb; his son-in-law Michael Goldfarb; and his grandchildren, Sam Goldfarb and Emma Goldfarb.
