With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Garland Lee Walker (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Linwood Walker and Tempie Leigh Manning Walker; his son Mark Dwayne Walker; and his grandson Zach Walker. He is survived by: his wife Jean W. Walker; his daughter Deborah W. Labrada; his sister Eva W. Fisher; and his grandsons, Lance Watkins (Leslie), Jared Elliott, Michael Elliott and Joshua Walker. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorial contributions to be directed to Gorman Baptist Church, 3315 E Geer St, Durham, NC 27704 or First Baptist Church of Butner, 200 W D St., Butner, NC 27509.
