He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry Gilbert III and Dolores Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his daughter Christy (Marcus Hinkson); his grandson Isaiah; his son Scott (Crystal); and his brother Robby.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (1621 Duke University Rd, Durham, NC 27701).
