He is survived by: his children, Dr. Constantine George Christie of Rochester, NY, Rebecca Sophia Christie of Brussels, Belgium and Nicholas George Christie; his grandchildren, George Blockx Christie, Paul Blockx Christie, Lilika Blockx Christie and Alexander Liu Christie; and his former wife Susan Monserud of Woodbury.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church (8306 NC-751, Durham, NC 27713). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A Greek Orthodox Funeral was held on Friday, Nov. 7 at Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, in Durham, NC, to which donations in George's memory may also be made.
