He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hamilton Shipp and Annie Laura Raynor; his former wife Betty "Ann" Gentry; and his grandson Jordan Dickerson. He is survived by: his children, Jason Shipp (Danae) and Tonya Renae Dickerson (Michael); and his grandchildren, Tenly Shipp, Phillip Dickerson and Dorothy Valerie McGee.
