She was predeceased by: her husband Spencer Blaine Sartain, Jr. (Buddy); her parents, Robert Gregory Higgins and Verna Lee Knick Higgins; and her granddaughter Lori Sartain. She is survived by: her children, Jedy Sartain (Jean) and Mike Sartain (Barbara); her grandchildren, Amy Sartain, Ashley Sartain, Michael Sartain and Stephanie Sartain (Shane); her great grandchildren, Caroline Sartain and Chris Sartain; and her brother Bobby Higgins (Anne). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
