It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Skinner (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on October 22, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Samuel Lamm; her husband Alton Skinner; and her son Alton Skinner, Jr. (Skinner). She is survived by: her children, Douglas Skinner (Elaine) and Evonne Shepherd (Gary); her sisters, Nettie Spain and Helen Pitt; her grandchildren, Michael Shepherd (Kitty Freeman), Mark Shepherd (April) and Kristy Wilson (Shannon); her great grandchildren, Savannah Wilson (J. T. Harris), Logan Wilson and Gracie Shepherd; her great great grandchild Maddox Wilson; and her close friend Carol Thomas.
