She was predeceased by: her parents, David Jackson Parker and Nannie Bet Vaughan Parker; her husband Lawrence Daniel Blackwell; and her siblings, David Weldon Parker (Lou), Annie Lena Jones, Edna Nell Shearin and Martha Ann Wiles.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Watson (Barry), James Blackwell (Cathy) and Alvin Blackwell (Vicki); her brother Rufus Parker (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Cheri Blackwell, Dana Welborn (Jeff), Kristy Gresham (Weldon), Diane Blackwell and Crystal Roberts (Kevin); and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Chloe and Dalton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
