It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Ray Mitchell of Durham, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Octavis Mitchell and Daisy Mitchell; and his wife Geraldine Mitchell. He is survived by : his siblings, Dorothy Mitchell and Charles Mitchell; his children, Veronica Mitchell Peace and Harold Ray Mitchell Jr.; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kirstin, Clement Peace III, Sophia and Grayson Mitchell; and his great grandchild Kameron Smith.

Viewing was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the White Oak Folk Baptist Church (1186 White Oak Folk Church Road, Virgilina, VA 24598). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
