He was predeceased by: his father Frank Ayers; and his siblings, Thomas, William, Raymond, David, Ralph Ayers, Lucille McIver and Ruth Bozard.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Seymore Ayers; his daughters, Susan Ayers of Greensboro, NC and Phyllis Ayers Peninger (Tim) of Lawrenceville, GA.; his grandsons, Logan Grace Peninger and William Ayers Peninger; his friend Susan Cox; and his sisters-in-law, Ethel Ayers and Mary Anne Ayers. He is also survived by husband of 65 years as well as a loving father, father-in-law, and grandfather.
