He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewald Pedde and Berta Plonke Pedde; and his brother Klaus Pedde. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Pedde; his sons, Michael Pedde and Kevin Pedde; his siblings, Irngard Nauyoks (Robert) and Karl Pedde (Donna); and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pedde, Ryan Pedde and Dominic Pedde.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Transitions Life Care Hospice: 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
