He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Amrose Rainey. He is survived by: his daughters, Alexandria Rainey, Jennifer Rainey and Heather Rees (Michael); his grandchildren, Ashlee Harris, Emilee Harris, Jason Harris and Dana Harris; his great grandchildren, Hayden McGee and Amelia McGee; his close friend Allison Carson; and his stepson Paul Carson.
