With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Aaron Miller Jr. (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Aaron Miller, Sr. and Nancy Lee Coons Miller. He is survived by: his pet Cameron; his sisters, Jennifer Miller Torres (José) and Joan Miller Holladay (Mike); his siblings' children, Sarah Holladay Hamilton (Adam Hamilton), Kristen Holladay Fetters (Sarah Fetters) and John Michael Holladay; his great-nephew Miller J Fetters; and his stepson Keith Derusha.
A reception will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Home (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705).
